Hello, I am a fellow D40 owner and am very impressed by the quality of shots you have taken. Can you please speak a little about your lenses/filters on you site?

Thanks!

Thank you very much Christopher..For landscapes I use the 18-55 mm kit lens, for macro I use a 105 Micro f/2.8 VR Nikkor, and for telephoto I use a 300mm f/4 Nikkor with or without a 1.4X Nikkor Teleconverter and a 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Nikkor..For filters I don't use many as of yet..I use a polarizer on occasion for bright sunlight shots and a #4 Neutral Density filter for soft water shots..Thanks again for your compliment and I will have to update my profile a bit to include this info..

Andrew,

Thank you for the lens information. Being new into photography, I would be interested in learning a little more about your photographic techniques and training. I simply have not seen these quality shots taken on a D40 anywhere else on the net. It really gets me excited that there do not appear to be limitations in the equipment, and good photographic technique can really shine through.

If you are so inclined, I would love the opportunity to take this conversation off your comments section and discuss via email.

Either way, thanks for publishing this great blog as it has really motivated me to dive into this hobby in earnest. Keep up the phenomenal shots!

Chris
